13BMoving out of the clichéd love triangles and hero-villain dramas, Bollywood is all set to welcome movies based on different themes. One such film is 13B, which explores the less exploited segment of thriller and adventure tales. Directed by Vikram K Kumar, the movie has R. Madhavan and Neetu Chandra in the lead roles. 13B portrays the urban lifestyle of Manohar (R. Madhavan), his wife Priya (Neetu Chandra) and their family members. A hard working Civil Engineer, Manohar, like any other urban man, has only one aim in life - to fulfill all the basic necessities of his family. Governed by rational thoughts, he has an analytical bent of mind and clear thinking.
Priya is a homemaker and dwells in household chores. She, like most of the housewives, has a fond liking for daily soaps and likes being glued to the idiot box. Other members in the family include Priya's father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece and nephew.Everything is going steady in their life. The couple now plans to have a child of their own. In the meantime, Manohar takes yet another steep forward in life and moves into a new apartment, with his family. The flat is on the 13th floor of a building and is numbered 13B. It is, here, that the females start watching a new teleserial 'Sab Khairiyat'. Strangely, the characters in it are identical to the ones in Manohar's family.
In the starting episodes, the serial shows everything good that takes place in the life of the 'reel' family. Oddly enough, the same things also happen in reality (i.e. in Manohar's family). However, soon, the serial takes a dramatic turn and evil forces start to play spoil sport in the life of the 'reel' as well as 'real' family. Now, the mystery is - will Manohar's life proceed further in the same way as the TV serial shows or will he able to fight against the 'invisible' tide?Download from here
